Important: I can login to my web server of my webpage with sftp. I tried to add some rules on my router, but I bet its something on the Pi? But I am not sure if something about ftp is changed, wasn't it ftp then instead of sftp? I tried the following with restarts betwen and it still don't work. Its frustating, as it worked in the beginning. But whenever I try to login with a ftp program, it just don't work. I also can login with file manager through samba and I have the 4 retropie folders (including roms) available and there is absolutely no problem working within it.

I remember in the first month (february) I could do it but then it stopped working. But, if your server requires only the binary mode, then you need to switch to it.I cannot login to sftp via FileZilla. It can be ”Binary” in most cases, Filezilla’s default setting is “Auto”. Uploading files using Filezilla is not hard, but problems can happen many times, especially when the server configuration requires one type of transfer. Thus, you avoid errors when typing your FTP login details. Make sure that you have the correct login, and it will be better to use the copy-paste option. Your web hosting provider sends you all your website, server, and FTP information in the welcome e-mail, if you can’t find those emails, contact them to have a copy. So, change your ”host” in your Filezilla login with the new IP that you find in your new hosting email or directly in the control panel. The solution is to use your new server IP address instead of the hostname, your IP will work because it’s unique and liked only to one server.
#FILEZILLA LOG IN PASSWORD#
So, you mix the old FTP hostname with the new password and username, and that wrong combination will never work. If you want to login with Filezilla before changing your domain name servers, you will get an error message because your FTP hostname that is in the format, in general still linked to the old server.
#FILEZILLA LOG IN INSTALL#
If you want to migrate your blog to a new web hosting or server, you should install and set your files, before migrating and just change the name servers, or, the IP address after making a copy of your website.
